Unfortunaely, time is the biggest issue. Luckily, the stroke didn't cause any permanent damage so it's really a mater of time, yesterday my toes moved, which was the last of the body parts i couldn't move. So hooray!

did you really pay $90 to be able to put your game on the xbox???

XNA is free buddy. And you know what is cool about it, you can use the same code on both the xbox and windows

if not then there's no reason you couldn't program a game for windows and mac both, but if you did i want to know why

No there isn't but it was Microsoft who decided to make it easier for people to make games not apple
Play Raimond Ex (if you haven't already)

No, you have to pay $90 to submit games to the Xbox Marketplace.  Sure you can code for it but you can't do anything with that code on the Xbox without paying heavy subscriptions.  I've looked into this myself recently, it's absolutely stupid.

At that moment when Steel's toes began to move. He gave a big fuck you to any other stroke that may ever come his way and he lived happily ever after. The End.

Please don't warn me for what I said ... I was just putting it in a story format. so I can be all the weirdo I wanted to be.

and steel I missed you buddy. BTW what about that cancer is it still a issue?

Q: How much does XNA Game Studio cost? Is there a difference between Windows and Xbox 360 development?
A: Visual C# 2005 Express, the XNA Game Studio tools and runtime environment for Windows are all FREE

Also even if it costs money to make xna programs run on xbox microsoft is like the only company with a human readable sdk with a ton of tutorials out there

$90 is not that much money to be able to run xna games on your xbox. And actually isn't the 90 bucks just to submit it to the marketplace, not to just run it on an xbox? Either way, it's pretty reasonable for any aspiring game developer. I would consider paying the money even if it was only to be able to play the games on the xbox.

I never said ANYTHING about XNA costing money, I said it cost money to run it on the xbox.  If that's worth it to you then fine it's just most people don't have $90 laying around to spend on that as a hobby.

I'm 95% sure you can't even run them without paying the fee, plus it's $90 yearly.  I don't think it's all that reasonable, that's a huge chunk of change--especially if your game takes over a year to develop.  I think the best possibility is to release it as a windows game, get donations, and then use those to pay for the $90, but $90 yearly out of pocket just to put your game on the xbox (even just to see how it works out) is a LOT.
