Catching up on this topic: holy crap, stop with all the cancer. Making me depressed.
As for the Muslim discussion, Burning Qurans is stupid. 100% against burning of ANY book.
People can draw whatever the fuck they want. and publish it where ever they want. If I took any fanatically religious person seriously on the topic of religion. and they told me that I couldn't draw a picture of their prophet, and they said this in a threatening manner, christian, muslim, or otherwise, I would fucking draw it as a 'fuck you'. I have an INTENSE dislike of censorship. I don't take religious fnanatics seriously though. also kind of lazy... and can't draw to save my life. so I wont bother. I understand a lot of people that consider themselves 'moderate' Muslims follow this rule. They aren't moderate BECAUSE they follow this rule IMHO. They just aren't murderous. Like for example. I'm pretty my grand mother and grand father on my Dad's side are basically religious fanatics in my mind and if there was some rule as stupid as that in the christian bible, they'd follow it (and there are I believe.) They aren't murderous or hateful. but they are kind of blindly/stupidly faithful.
The mosque/muslim community center has every right to be built. It seems hypocritical to not let them build it. They payed for it right? Then shut the FUCK up. It's capitalism.
You can have your life threatened by going outside and being obnoxious/disrespectful to someone on the street.
What is drawing mohammed other than being obnoxious and disrespectful? Even worse, it's a phenomenon that emerged on facebook so it's basically a giant racist spectacle of primarily white males deliberately provoking/harassing a minority group.
The difference being that not being obnoxious is kind of a unwritten rule of being a normal friendly social human being, while writing a rule such as "do not draw <insert something/someone here>" seems at best being overly sensitive, at worst, being fanatical and oppressive.
I have no connection to the original 'draw mohammed day' thing that went on Facebook. The reasons behind people drawling mohammed seems not only irrelevant to me, but irresponsible to use as an argument because their is no way to prove that is in fact what is going through the minds of those participating (racism that is). I like to TRY to argue with facts and not speculation or opinion of any kind.
Also, you seem pretty racist. As a lot of your arguments (whether under the guise of a joke) rely on the argument that white people just plain suck. Should I just ignore these things you say?
You keep bringing up 'white male'. I am in fact a white male. A privileged one. I live in the US. But you can't just assume that I and other white males in the US are all one way.
i don't know it's just, if you were to observe our behaviors, consumer habits, and the role played throughout history as a whole demographic I think the safest default assumption would be that we're the absolute worst. Also it's no coincidence that the most horrible racist and/or socially ignorant ideas seem to take root the most within the FWWM(firstworldwhitemale) demographic: Who do you think is watching SPIKE TV, drinking Mt. Dew Gamefuel, voting republican, or going to these tea parties, klan rallies, and libertarian party conventions????
also marry outside your race if at all possible and do your part in hurrying the inevitable liquidation of the Caucasian race.
Your observing 79.6% of the population of the US (According to the US Census, 2009). The US would still probably be full of shit heads in your eyes if all of the races were suddenly equally represented. So you just dislike irresponsible people who have more money then the average person in the world. Problem is even then that I'd say its probably safe to assume that even the average person on earth is irresponsible. Making it just: I dislike people who have money to be irresponsible with.
