As a game DFO is everything I stand against. It does however have a promising metagame (character building aside which is gimmicky micropayment bullshit) and the unique mmo+fighting game type pvp does look really fun. I should hate it but I can't help but be intrigued.

I'm trying the Launcher class and hope to reroll/ rebuild into one min/maxed for skill and animation cancels.


The most appealing part is how the arena modifies stats and whatnot to balance sessions out regardless of how cheesed out a play might be to 24/7 farming/ ebaying... in that it's still mostly (by a very large degree) skill based.

Played abit that player in the video is skilled it's hard to pulling off air shots and aiming is a bitch with the Launcher class.

I edited my post a bit. You have to specifically build for attack speed and animation/ skill cancels in order to make up for the relatively slow attack speeds and long delays of the launcher class. It takes a long time to build up the right equipment (you need around +30-45% attack speed bonus in order to get over the hump you mentioned) but once you get enough to be viable it seems like a fun archetype for this class indeed. As for other types of launchers.. I am not a fan. They do massive ranged damage but they seem to be absolutely bottom tier otherwise.

A fighting game mmo though.... such an odd concept but they make it work. Now if only they had private servers with no item hunting or grinding... ie all PVP I'd be set.
