yeah, obviously the same medications don't work for everyone. and some people just have naturally bad reactions to certain things. but i think that taking it's important to take appropriate dosages as prescribed, not that i'm saying anyone here didn't do so. a lot of people that have bad experiences with medications were not taking their meds at the right time of day, or they skipped sometimes, or drank alcohol, or changed their own dosage, or did other things that could have caused the unpleasant side effects or withdrawal.
i've known a lot of people who complain about psychiatric medication, but the only reason it doesn't work for them is because they don't take it the way they're supposed to. my ex was really bad about medications-- he would take them for a few days, then complain that he feels worse and stop taking them, and then start again but with a lower dosage, and then jack it up high for a few days, then stop... eventually i talked to him about it and sorta policed him about taking his medication, and sure enough they started working well. so, i'm just saying that in my experience, people can complain about medications being bad or ineffective, but the problem is actually them. that's why it's important to keep up with a psychiatrist. too many people get prescriptions and never go back to see the psych! :o
dietcoke it sounds like you've got a good thing goin with meds. that's sort of how i am with xanax these days; i take it when i wake up from nightmares or when i'm especially anxious or stressed or whatever. for me right now, it's working better than the daily stuff i was on for a long time. kaworu i hope you can get your whole drug situation figured out soon because i think you would benefit from a stable, psychiatrist-prescribed daily medication. good luck (´_ゝ`)
