Ok so I was out today down to The St.John's Regatta
And a band was playing a song and its stuck in my head.
Its a classic rock song, I cant think on the name or anything
i THINK there was "the band started playing" or something similar in the lyrics.
I just vividly remember the Guitar riff (which i brutally murdered trying to humm)

Here is me humming/singing the guitar riff,

Thanks For the help if you guys can tell me what it is and end my insanity.

Thank you Blitzen!
This song is an amazing song and when I heard it play live today I heard it across the lake and All I heard for the most part was that guitar riff, and the 6-7min solo they pulled off for it.
Thanks again Blitzen

edit: And mince I'm a lil drunk and the only mic i could find around is the shits.

It's probably one of my favourite songs ever so I would be upset with myself if I couldn't tell that someone else was trying to identify it. I like it because lyrically its about the way musical tastes change in the popular mindset but good music transcends trends. Also the solo is just bluesy as fuck. I, for one, feel that Dire Straits is a massively underrated band.

Yah, unappreciated is a better way to put it, not as popular and beloved as I feel they should be. I feel the same way about freddy mercury, and how people now don't seem to realize what an amazing showman he was and how innovative his influence became.
