As most of us know.. it has been posible to softmod your Wii for a while,personally I used the Bannerbomb method and Im having a blast using snes emus with wii classic controller.. I also have a bunch of gamecube backups which run perftectly on my wii,anyways I just tougth since we got a psp thread,why not a thread for wii?

Should have probably provided a little more info on the whole Wii Modding aspect. Seriously want to know this as I'm borrowing my cousins Wii right now.

I use the Twilight Princess hack as I had a copy of Twilight Princess laying around.

That hack was just a file you download and extract onto the Wii's memory, then run Zelda and load the hacked save that gets installed. Then the hack does the rest.

Then you just download the Homebrew Channel and tada, tons of apps at your fingertips.

I only wish nintendo would release a SDK for the Wii like Microsoft did... but I don't even have a wii

Well there are several ways of going about moding your Wii.. you got your standard hard mod (which requires soldering and 100$) while if you softmod you got several ways to do it,the method I used was to put file named "BannerBomb" on my MicroSf card.. it can then be accesed from your Wii Data Management menu... there are plently of guides regarding this method.

Anyways does anyone know if its posible to somehow plug in my Ipod 80gb to the Wii and use it as a sort of external HD? if it was I could rip Wii games using a homebrew application that allows you to do that.

the wii will only read fat32 partitions normally, and for backups you have to make a special partition (i think it's called wubi or something) that was made specifically for wii backups.

I just ran into my first error evar! when I run Star Fox Adventures it shows the Nintendo Logo and then bam "Error please turn off your gamecube",if I take the disc off and pop it back in just as the nintendo logo shows up I can go to the title screen but then it shows the error shows up again..

Hopefully there is some Wii experts in here most likely not.
