witch most of you druggies would not even concider alcohol a drug.

actually noting that alcohol is a drug is a great defense when people call you a druggie.  so you're wrong.

I've had alcohol poisoning before I was 21.

Other than drinking though I don't do anything.

I'm apparently boring. Doesn't surprise me. I rather be content and boring then be whatever I'd be on drugs.

Though I was tempted to start drinking when I thought our kitten was gonna die.

i've been bored of drinking for a really long, and haven't drank with any frequency(more than once a month) for about seven years. i've always enjoyed the experience drugs render, but was never too deeply into them for any length of time, and never found a drug i ever really wanted to take with any consistency. you lose the fun of such things if you do it too often.

nicotine is really my only vice at the moment. i quit tobacco and just smoke e-cigarettes because i still love what nicotine does to me. it's a great stabilizing agent.

also i have developed a bit of a caffeine addiction, due in large part to the fallout from quitting smoking for six months. caffeine is a terrible addiction, in great part due to the borderline toxic shit it is commonly delivered to people with, that people have been conditioned to ignore the severity of. oh well.

these are pretty boring vices and approaches to them, but i've never been called boring before. i don't think there's any correlation between how interesting you are and the substances you are putting in your body. i meet all kinds of drug users that are dreadfully boring people. it's a myth perpetuated by the fact that most COOL DUDES are laid back and not uptight about trivial shit that other people are electing to do with their lives.

Man, I don't even drink coffee! I even limit my caffeine intake from pop (or soda to some Americans) to a pretty small quantity. A couple cans of coke and Dr. Pepper here and there. Most root bear and other soft drinks have no caffeine in Canada, so I end up just consuming a fair bit of sugar instead.

I do find that some COOL DUDES that do drugs tend to be laid back about a lot of things (like arriving on time or wearing button up shirts) but then get really angry at very specific things. I think all in all the only correlation you can draw is that, at least in some places, the drug users tend to be more liberal in their views and people who are more liberal in their views tend to be more laid back over all.

This is definitely not true for every case (I know a few who defy this convention totally), but many of the drug users I know fall into this category. This really only applies to marijuana around here and a few harder drugs like shrooms (which aren't hard, but they are less common than marijuana) but not at all for alcohol. I guess the fact that alcohol is so accepted in our culture (to the point where regular people are confused when you tell them you don't drink) that it doesn't alienate any part of the political spectrum.

this is very true.

i'm 21, and getting drunk has been a pasttime of mine, but going on 22, it's not so novel anymore.  weed used to be a pretty big part of my life, until i realized just how stifling it had been.

I've only tried vodka once mixed with juice at college out of curiosity.  However, that was the only time in my life and I never did that again. As for the other stuff, no....no. My only addiction is a good cup of coffee and I could drink the stuff strong and black if I wanted, without any milk  :fogetcool: I don't think it's boring not to do those things don't ya know? Like back at school it was the opposite with some people, it wasn't a good time unless it was alcohol or something that altered the mind.

Actually, I'm surprised I haven't did anything yet, with the constant crap going on and all and everyone else doing it you'd think I would join them but, nah. I don't care what other people do though and I keep an open mind, I just don't wanna take anything due to my own personal reasons.

The only thing I've ever smoked out of PEER PRESSURE if you can even call it that was a hookah. Because when you are sitting in a circle and someone offers you the most useless, non addictive substance on the planet, shisha, and have no medical reason to say no, you don't say no!

Other than that I do some weekend bud and akahol a few weeks at a time every few months. Nothing serious.

Fluoride... now that's the shit I avoid.

I actually drank tonight but really don't feel too drunk, been noticing this effect a lot recently. I'm thinking I should slow down, because I'm very used to every friday and during the week too.. nowadays whenever I'm not working I want to right away DRINK. I'll always switch between different friends to drink with cause if it were the same buddies every time they'd probably not want to so much.

Bleh whatever, at least I'll have a good rest tonight.

Hmm. I smoke cigs, i smoke weed, and i drink every night.

I used to drink a lot. like, half a bottle of wiskey a night. Which was fun, because i would also be stoned.
In weekends I'd drink even more, because that's what we did. I must have killed so many braincells back
then.
When I go to drum 'n bass parties, I take either E or Speed. Haven't done that in months because
apparently i have a heart condition. I used to not care, but realized I'd rather not die just yet.

I've been sobering up in the last year. I have one or two drinks a night and still smoke weed on occasion.
I want to quit the latter. I've also given up on harddrugs now, because other than LSD and Coke hard drugs
just aren't really fun.

I'll probably get some coke for New Years. It's been a tradition for a couple of years now. It's the only day
of the year I allow myself to do so because the white pony is really cute and makes me really happy.

Don't do drugs kids!  :woop:

I used to smoke a load of weed, but bad experiences lead to replacing it with smoking. Don't worry those bad experiences will come later, so I'm fine for now

Just wondering! How many of you guys would give up drink/smoking/drugs tomorrow if there was a magical way for you to lose all/any dependence you have on them. I guess I'm asking how many of you guys do that stuff because you want to, and how many of you guys do that because you need to?

man yeah i think way too many people overlook how bad caffeine is.  i was addicted to caffeine, but over this past summer i switched to caffeine free soda (because i still really like soda i just do not want the caffeine!) and after a week or two of feeling either sick or really tired, i'm doing just fine now.  i still drink regular soda sometimes (especially in restaurants, though i often get water too), but i don't have any of the withdrawal symptoms i used to.  being dependent on anything like that REALLY SUCKS, especially when i went to iceland and had way more access to milk than soda.  i just did not want to be this type of person, it is kinda gross!

heh. You're absolutely right. You're also underestimating the power of being cheap.
Also, drugs here are cheap. Very cheap. Back in the days when I smoked a lot you'd be
able to get a gram of weed for about 5 euro. A bottle of cheap wiskey could be bought for 9.
an extacy pill costs about 2 euro's, depending on where you get them. I'd get 5 grams of
speed for 30. (prices for weed have gone up in the past 1,5 years. Fucking inflation)

The only real expensive drug we have is Coke, which goes for about 30 for the cheap stuff,
to about 50 for the regular stuff. I've never gone beyond that.

I think I used to spend around 15 euro's a day. I still spend as much, but it doesn't go to
drugs anymore. As to how I was able to gather the money... There are lots of ways to get
money when you're not of legal age. I've never done robbery or drugsdealing though.
(strange as that may or may not sound)

i clicked heroin even though i've only occasionally taken synthetic opiates in pill form. no SHOOTING UP but it's sorta the same drug. but you can uncheck me in your minds if you like. the rest is what it is though.

it's kind of hard to describe my drug habits since they tend to fluctuate, but i'm only occasionaly smoking pot anymore even, when i used to be a big pothead. nowadays i can only get excited by THE GOOD DRUGS........ basically if I'm not hallucinating i'd rather be sober. besides that, physical relief is fun (a rip or beer after work), but i've been too busy and too productive recently to really debilitate myself with them.

also:
caffeine is such a vile substance. i used to drink a lot more soda years ago, and now when i drink one it's the sugar or caffeine or carbonation or what, but unless the stars align somehow i feel like death afterwards. makes me wonder if i always felt like that before or i just realize it now that my intake has drastically decreased.
