I have two question to do with hair.

1. My hair is a really dark brown, so brown is practically black. I tried to dye it yesterday, a bright red, right now, the part that i dyed is a sort of auburn. The question is:
if i use the same hair dye over the previously dyed part, will it go the bright red i originally intended or will i have to use some bleach and make it lighter and then dye it?

2. my hair has a tendency to get really frizzy after it dries from being wet, whats the best way to get rid of it quickly? because so far the best i got is to wait till the next day and then use straighteners on it at high heat.

right there they are, could some one with some hairy know how please answer?

Normally when people with dark hair want to dye it, they do have to bleach it first.  Otherwise it's not going to show up whatsoever.

Not sure about the second one, my hair doesn't normally have this problem.

1. I've never dyed my hair (whether short or long) in my life, so I don't know what to say here. As my hair already got longer (it's down to my shoulder blades), it naturally changed from black to dark brown. My beard also turns a bit red as they get longer too.
2. Don't ever use straighteners again. Those things will fuck up your hair by heating it and will give you more splitends. If frizz is such an issue, find someone to trim your hair.

you can blow dry your hair to make it dry faster. or towel dry it really well

do you think that the ion tech that some hair dryer's have works in removing frizz?

i think that the straightening action that some hair straighteners have will straighten your hair

maybe you should post a picture of your hair so we all can get a more accurate description

I used to have long hair. Dry your hair with a blowdrier instead of a towel and a lot of the frizz should go away. It takes awhile with longer hair, but you'll find it more manageable. What is causing the frizz is moisture that a towel misses (a lot of it) and so by blowdrying you are more likely to actually dry it. The heat also straigtens it. Plus, use conditioner. It does a lot.

Actually, I find blowdryers to be a bit unhealthy for the hair. Whenever I wash mine, I always sit out in the sun to naturally dry it (for about 15-30 minutes) and then come back inside to put on a shirt.

I'm dying my hair a bright red and only partialy, not completly, and i do take care of my hair, i'm just not knowlagable about certain facts.
also, let me re-phrase my initial question, If i dye the already dyed part of my hair, will it go brighter or stay the same?

I don't want to agree with Intri ever but imo hair straighteners ALWAYS make girls' hair look awful unless they have hair down to their waist going for the elf/pagan look lol.

Then again curly and wavy hair gives me a major boner so maybe it's just the same kind of disapproval guys that love giant tits have of women who have breast reduction to avoid back problems. ie, they wantonly remove something i like with a COMPLETE disregard for my boners
