Actually, I find blowdryers to be a bit unhealthy for the hair. Whenever I wash mine, I always sit out in the sun to naturally dry it (for about 15-30 minutes) and then come back inside to put on a shirt.

Not only will this not dry hair completely (thus missing the point), hairdriers on lower settings are perfectly healthy for the hair. Higher settings are best left to short hair, though, since short hair dries more quickly under the heat without any damage.

If you dye your hair twice it will make it look brighter red, yeah. It will also badly damage your hair and cause very bad split ends. I would suggest getting your hair cut, instead, so you can fit into society.

1. Bleach your hair first...you might have to go to a salon since it can be dangerous/do more damage to your hair than you need to at home.
2. Get your hair cut regularly so that the ends are fresh, don't brush your hair when it's wet (comb it) and apply a small amount of anti-frizz serum...Jon Freida is good, also Bene.

Darker hair should ALWAYS be lightened before dying another color, and you can do the dye after about 4 hours of lightening/bleaching (as this is what my salon does) and then go ahead and dye that hair red.

There is this magical serum that many of my friends use called frizz eaze, it works so well. You apply it to your wet hair and let it dry naturally. then use the straightener and it should be nearly frizzless. I don't have super curly hair so I just flat iron that mop to hell.

Put a little bit of light product in it.  Not much.  A touch of mousse or whatever.  Chanicakes mentioned Frizz Eaze, which will probably do the trick.
