yeah dude TSS is probably my favorite album ever recorded. it's amazing. my brother and i have probably given out 10 copies of it to our friends. TMM is also really good, but some of the songs I could go either way on it, it's mostly just impressive that the dudes can sit there and jam out these acoustic songs as JUST THEM you know.

And yeah I'm really happy because they seem to just get better and better. I was a little sad that it was only like 30 minutes long, but it's like they took the best 30 minutes of a longer album and so you have this incredible 30-minute album.

edit; btw i preordered the album and got a shirt for like 20 bucks. the album is SO COOL i'm glad portugal remains a really unique and passionate band. They just care, and that's awesome.

also as far as similar bands I dont really know but rhapsody had given me "Rogue Wave" as similar and they are ok. The singer sounds like he's trying to be neil young on some songs, it's a little annoying. One guy said Portugal sounded a lot like the beatles, which I guess I can see but I don't really agree with that.

So yeah I don't know any similar bands they are just on their own groove for sure.
