Sorry for making a whole new topic about this,But I just recently bought a DS Lite off eBay and nothing was wrong with it for the first few 2 weeks,But,then all of a sudden I turn on my DS plug in Final Fantasy 3 and BAM! there a appears a stuck red pixel on the touch screen.

The weird thing is that when theres a red background it appears black and when theres any other color it appears red.I've tried running the Stuck Pixel Fixer you know the one where it flashes red green and blue and left it over night and it still hasn't disappeared.I hear eBay offers a 3 month warranty for all items,If so how would I go about returning it/exchanging it?

But my most urgent question is; is there anyway to FIX it.
If not answer the question about the warranty.

Thank in advance...

the easiest way I know of is to just buy a new screen off ebay (about $5) they're real easy to install too.
If an image says a thousand words, and a video shows 24 images each second, then why couldn't they condense everything I needed to learn at school into one hour long video :V

5 bucks?? if its a pixel problem hes gonna have to replace the LCD not the touch screen. and those things are like 20$ (on average +/- 5$) + shipping.

dude I would say just send a message to the seller and tell him that there is a pixel problem and you want either an exchange or your money back. and ofcourse, do NOT tell him that it happened after a while and the whole ff3 yadda yadda yadda. Rather, make sure you get him to believe it was like that from the start!

*throw the ds away get a psp*

I already contacted him about it.
He may take awhile to respond but I found a few touch screens on eBay for like $5 -  $10 I don't they go up to $20.

as i said if its a pixel problem its the lcd that needs to be fixed your touchscreen is fine. theres a screen UNDER the touchscreen which has the dead / fucked pixel. ?

He specifically said it was the touch screen in the first post.

If it is indeed the touch screen that one should work since it's a replacement touch screen.

Contact the seller and ask for your money back. If that doesn't work, contact ebay and tell them about the situation. If that fails you can probably send your DS to Nintendo for repairs. Many electronics companies offer an international one-year warranty for most of their products.

I wouldn't do anything to the DS myself. If it shows that you've been messing around with it the seller might refuse to take it back, Nintendo might not want to repair it, and there would be nothing you can do about it.

Would this be the LCD screen?

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-TOUCH-SCREEN-LCD-For-NINTENDO-DSL-NDS-DS-LITE-NDSL_W0QQitemZ180410901260QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item2a0153e30c#ht_2277wt_1204

oh wow it's that cheap  :shocking:. I am utterly surprised. my mistake!

well if youre having a hard time mailing it back (considering its youre first time) then I'd say get the mail address from the seller (or if you still have the package it came in then the return address should be on it) then go to your local ups/fedex wherever you go to send mail and just tell them you want to send this thing to this location and they'll package it for you and whatnot.

In all of the forums I've visited I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having this problem. If you find a solution I would love to here what it is.
