I came in to post the Kermit The Frog video but yeah Talking Heads are great. My uncle gave me the Stop Making Sense dvd for like my sixteenth birthday and I ripped the soundtrack with Nero and listened to it on a crappy discman for the whole summer, ~GOOD TIMES~. Actually that's kinda stopped me from getting into their studio stuff as much since the mixing etc seems very anaemic and stiff after listening to the live versions. I'm probably missing the point and will have to do an ALBUM RETROSPECTIVE at some point though!
I do think '77 is a really underrated album though (actually I'm not sure if it is or not but in terms of the Talking Heads discography it seems to get dismissed as just boring new wave which I think is kinda unfair). It's not really as radical or new as their later worldmusic-influenced stuff but there's a kind of understated nervous sweetness to it that I really like. Like not in the sense of fucking
quirkiness but it seemed like a really likeable sweet pop music that just happened to be kinda accidentally skewed and neurotic. I remember liking it a lot.
Also the best Fall albums are probably Hex Enduction Hour and Slates:
