Is mapping very important because im making a game right now the mapping isnt horrible but could be alot better i want to know will my game be hated if the mapping isnt great because im currently doing the battles there very enjoyable and my story is going to be cliche at points but very good (i dont want to spoil).

ugh, too many people nowadays are focusing on graphics. We need to focus on gameplay and spend more time writing a solid story. People, read some novels and get inspiration. and please don't make it an EPIC medieval cliched game with boring battles that take too long. Spice it up! Make it original. Make it have humor.
