Well, I recorded some footage with Fraps, and I put them together in Windows Movie Maker, The only problem is, when I encode, the final video has a color difference with the original footage.

Here's two comparison screenshots, the encode is darker, or more saturated, I dunno. But how do I fix it?

are there compression settings that you can change on the encoding process?  chances are this is just a result of however it is encoding, and you aren't going to get a perfect reproduction of the picture because of this process.

There aren't really any advanced settings, it's just Windows Movie Maker after all. Checking around the internet I found out this might just be a problem with Movie Maker itself, and there may not be a solution. Just thought I'd check up here to make sure.

Well, it's not really a big deal for me, but the difference is apparent.

Are you using Windows Live Movie Maker, or the Windows Movie Maker that comes with Windows XP? If you are using the default one, try using the Windows Live Movie Maker (Google it). It'll probably fix the issue without making major changes to your environment (well, some major changes, but you know what I mean).
