Me, yes that is a lego tie fighter in the background. Should I be ashamed? I think not.

BTW I don't wear glasses all the time, just when I'm using the pc, reading etc.

Of course that's what you'd think. Just look at you.

BTW It's not the glasses making me say that.

Would you like eyewearless comparison shots?
Anyway, I though the glasses made me look sophisticated and sexy. What chick doesn't want to hang out with a guy with a lego tie fighter?

Yeah, surround sound goes through clips stuck to the roof, its the only way it was possible as the wires were too short to do anything else short of cutting holes in the roof.

That's some hardcore decorating right there.

I don't got a new pic of myself, but instead I got a pic of my newly purchased Denon PMA-700AE Stereo amp, Monitor Audio BR2 speakers and Beyerdynamics DT-990 Pro headphones!

big thanx to dragonslayer for sig!

thats cool, but would you run the risk of overheating the amp by putting objects on top of the grill at the top? It would actually save me space to do the same as you, but I have always been slightly concerned about it

I didn't really want to arrange it like this, but I ran out of space on my desk. I'm moving soon and I'll make a better arrangement then, but this works for now. The amp doesn't produce that much heat anyways, and the monitor stand is only partially on top of the cooling holes on top. And well I'm not really that concerned about it anyway. I've had another Denon amp (AVR-1909) for a year now and I've stacked other stuff on top it without issues (and you actually see in many Hifi stores that they stack their amps/cd-players).

I love nerd rooms. My glasses are also pretty nerdy, too, but I haven't taken a good picture in like a year so you'll just have to pretend?

Top shelf is actual books, middle shelf is manga/comics/graphic novels, bottom shelf is games/movies/Star Trek glasses/figurines. I'm missing some of my ps2 games; lent them to a friend.

Although mine is more of an animu-geek sort of thing. And a Nick and Nora poster I stole from an intersection?
Am I ashamed? MILDLY. But you just can't go wrong with CONVENTION BADGES.

My name is not Peter V. Brett (obviously). There should be more, but Megacon gives wristbands for three-day passes (which I didn't keep), and I lost my other AFO passes. Only been to NYCC once. Anyone else going this year?

how do you mean social respectability? it's the archetypical room for that crowd he'd fit in perfectly in what's not that small a society (www.somethingawful.com). also iirc it's not nearly as bad as mkk's room

Hahaha, what kind of "social respectability" are you talking about? It's college; there's no mutually agreed upon "popular kids" or anything. Only friends see my room and they are pretty okay with it. Not like I am climbing a social ladder!

Awesome.
