Here's an example: My brother was telling me about how he read this Japanese story of a little girl that had the ability to turn whatever she wanted into meat at will. I think the little girl was actually a devil or something but her outer appearance was that of a normal little girl except for like horns or something (some really obvious dis-figuration that would give away she wasn't a normal little girl). The little girl had no family and became attached to this person who was blind. She started to live with the blind person, and the blind person assumed the girl was a normal girl, the blind person owned some pets but they went missing, apparently the girl had been turning the pets into meat and ate them, she also turned the mailman into meat and consumed him too. Eventually the story ends something like the girl turning the house into meat and consuming it. That's not the exact story but this story was just really interesting and bizarre.

here's another example of something really interesting I enjoyed: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/524064 <-Newgrounds link -About pigs with addictions

I want to enjoy a really good story/movie/game with a really bizarre story line or some sort of strange twist similar to the meat girl story. Anyone got any recommendations? I'm not really interested in like extremely bizarre sexual materials though, just about anything else is cool though.

Oh and I don't know if anyone remembers these but I think it was on cartoon network like really late at night, they would play these really bizarre Canadian cartoons, I think it was called O' Canada, This is one of the cartoons that was played: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdxucpPq6Lc It's about a scientist that creates teleportation fridges, but they didn't actually teleport anything-instead they would clone the object/person from fridge #1 to fridge #2 and destroy the original in fridge #1.

Hate to steal your topic but if anyone has any media related to astral traveling and spiritual stuff I'd be interested as well.

Phillip k. Dick wrote pretty bizzare stuff (world where everyone's 'growing' backwards, guys getting trapped inside dead people's minds etc).

There's probably more i can come up with but i gotta go back to work now >_>

I downloaded it yesterday and haven't gotten a chance to play it yet but Space Spy by Vasily Zotov looks really great and interesting. It's apparantly a kind of allegory for his experiences in the US immigration system or maybe not because from an interview I read he's either kind of crazy or completely made up.

Supposedly it's almost unplayable but really who cares.

EDIT: he has another game called Quite Soulless that also looks amazing

Fellini's Satyricon is a must-see. Another favorite of mine is Zazie dans le metro, which you should really watch in French (some of the jokes don't really translate very well) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00d_XAvG190

There was a german romantic writer called Ernst Theodore Hoffmann who you would probably like a lot, you can read his short story 'The Sandman' here http://www.fln.vcu.edu/hoffmann/sand_e.html. It's pretty good.

there is a japanese film called the taste of tea that is pretty surreal but also incredibly entertaining.  it's just a collection of moments in the lives of this family in japan, but lots of bizarre things happen during it.  like, for example, the little girl in the family believes that there's this gigantic doppleganger of herself following her around, and she is confident that if she can swing backwards over this bar near their house she can get rid of it.  lots of other things happen, and the ending is the absolute most surreal part, but it's a really really cool movie.

i originally bought it because i was looking through dvds and saw the cover of it, where a little boy has a tiny train coming out of his forehead.  how could i possibly not buy this?

I don't necessarily have any real recommendation as of late, but as a general rule I would recommend frequenting thrift stores and independent book stores for strange old relics.  Recently I found Bram Stoker's Dracula and George Carlin's Last Words.  :D

Also I just remembered this but there was a pretty cool little flash adventure game called Gretel and Hansel on newgrounds recently.  Good to waste maybe 30 minutes at work sometime.

I don't know anything about anime and whether you like it but I'm sure there is some really fucked up ones. (Whether or not they are 'good' is probably another story)

the cremaster cycle, el topo, the holy mountain

the cremaster cycle will barely make any sense at all, especially if you're not american. the other two have some cool imagery and are generally bizarre

Some of the stuff you guys are recommending look really interesting, going to check them out after I get back from work. The Cat soup anime and that japanese movie look really good, and that LSD PSX game looks kinda interesting but really pointless from the wikipedia article of the game. Those PC games look cool, probably will give them a try although sometimes they look confusing as hell.

I watch a lot of anime, finding really good fucked up ones is kinda hard.

Why would she turn the pets and mailman into meat? Pets and mailmen are meat

You're right, I thought that too when my brother was telling me about it but I pictured her turning them into like ground up meat.

the anime Gantz is really bizarre. It's 26 episodes and its a bit different from the general base of animes out there. there are a lot of violent scenes as well as some nudity/sex. Watch at your own risk and don't expect happy thoughts. It leaves you with the expression, ''wtf?''. Nonetheless I liked it :D
