The iPad is pretty much absolutely everything I expected it to be, which I guess is disappointing in a way since there isn't any big surprises, but whatever. The only big drawback I can see in it is that there is no multitasking, but no doubt Apple will have that fixed pretty soon.
Apple is clearly trying to bring tablet computing into the mainstream with this device and, if their recent track record with mp3 players and smart phones tells us anything, they will succeed. I think they're looking to have a pretty dominant position in this burgeoning market by having an introductory price that's unusually low for their products.
What I'm most interested in right now is how this thing will affect e-reader and netbook sales.
