Stormy Weather is a movie from 1943 about the greatest artists from the era. But it's not a documentary, it's an actual scripted movie that's loosely based on Bill Robinson's rise to fame as a tap dancer. Brilliant stuff if you like old black music.

I'm definitely watching this soon haha

I think it's ok to dislike black and white movies for being in black and white because they're not as visually stimulating as movies in color.
Play Raimond Ex (if you haven't already)

Me: Whats wrong with the tv?
Dad: What do you mean?
Me: Why is the news in black and white?
Dad: Oh. I dunno. I hadn't noticed.

This is true, but if you're watching movies 100% for visual stimulation, you're probably going to watch 2012 anyway.

I would argue that something like The Third Man is more visually stimulating than uh Harold & Kumar but whatever

Watch The Decalogue. It's a series of 10 short films, each based on one of the 10 commandments. As a collection its one of the most profound films I've had the pleasure of viewing.

For an interesting and unique movie experience I recommend Memento. A very clever film.

you'd be surprised how many people don't like b&w movies because of b&w its tardcore

I second synecdoche, ny. decalogue, too. And why haven't i heard of primer it sounds awesome. The diving bell and the butterfly is what i recommend, unless foreign stuff is out of your league too then don't bother watching movies anymore

You know i didn't say i didn't like B&W movies, i said i wasn't interested in watching them at the moment. and I'll watch a movie because it's interesting and what I'm after, if it's boring or not what I'm after i won't being foreign means nothing in this regard.

I don't like Black and White movies because they are too black and white.
I don't like color movies because they are too colorful.

I only watch movies that are filmed exclusively in pastel.

Primer had better be a good movie since it seems like GW unanimously endorses it

I watched Primer a few years ago, but didn't really get it at the time.  I need to rewatch it one of these days.  I don't think I'll ever have to the time to do that though.  Also anyone who thinks that a movie shouldn't be watched because its in black and white is probably really dumb.

Guys I have a small request for you... I'd like to watch a coming of age movie but with people in their late teens early twenties 18-22 or something of the kind. I don't really care if the main protagonist is female or male. Most coming of age movies have younger characters in them and for some reason I'm really wanting to watch something like this. I also do not care if I need subtitles to watch the movie so anything is good! Thanks
