From the alpha footage, the physics for Sonic 4 disgrace every previous genesis title. My god the handling looks loose as hell.

This isn't very relevant but just recently I realized how much I can't stand people who say HEH I'M NOT GOING TO LET MY KIDS WATCH TV I'M JUST GONNA HAVE THEM WATCH THE SHOWS I WATCHED GROWING UP what is wrong with people???

Today little girls watch gossip girl, in some generations their teen program might be as heavy as sex and the city, and some parents, afraid of the whoredom of their child, will not allow

How confident are you in the person's own ability to discern which childhood shows they were exposed to were indeed not already shitty to begin with?

For instance if I saw a parent that held this philosophy, and used it to make their kids watch shit like Smurfs or Scooby Doo, I would have no choice but to intervene by murdering the parents outright. Their kids would thank me for it some day.

I can't wait until the current generation grows up. I just want to see how much shittier cartoons have gotten since "after since they were kids", and then when they have kids, they'll only watch the shitty cartoons their parents watched as kids. In short, it's not going to solve anything because it doesn't address the problem of networks making shitty cartoons because in general people will like them regardless because the only scale they have to compare them against are all the other even shittier cartoons that are being aired at the same time.

I was watching this thing on sega's evolution to this point, and the reason he has long spikes now is because the were having trouble translating 2D Sonic to look good in 3D... So why are they still using long ass spikes?
Maybe the only reason it is starting to bug me, is that this isn't supposed to be current Sonic, is it? This is supposed to be a sequel to OLD Sonic. So he jumps off Angel Island / Death Egg / WHATEVER Sonic 3 was... and suddenly his spikes are longer? Hmm.
Gay, I say.

1: murdering the parents is your solution?

2: You completely misinterpreted what I was getting at huh? cblock was saying parents shouldn't let their kids watch new shows because the shows are getting too mature, and I said nobody was talking about those shows, they were talking about children's programming, not teen programming.

I guess I was making a different point then. I'd let my kids watch south park for years before I'd even think of letting them get near Scooby-Doo. The kids in that show were 8, I started watching it when I was 8, so any kid should be perfectly fine watching it at that age. (a few of the racier seasons might be off limits, but I would be perfectly fine with them growing up alongside those values as they develop and mature)

At any rate, they better not even know what Scooby Doo is until they are at least old enough to drive. Otherwise their brains won't be close to developed enough to comprehend how shitty that cartoon really really is. If another stupid kid tells them about that cartoon before they are mature enough to avoid the mistake of enjoying it, then I'm sorry but I have to kill that kids parent's for exposing him to that degree of trash and spreading it to my children. If they are irresponsible enough to allow something like that to happen, then my only choice is to behave in the exact same manner by also doing something that can't be taken back.

I rather think that the target age demographic has very little to do with the issue at the heart of this matter, which was what I wanted to point out when responding. I wasn't saying anything against you in the sense that you were making a distinction that would clarify what was clearly mis-interpreted. I'm saying that parent's are going to have subjective values over what's "best" for their children. The ironic thing about this is that most producers of the entertainment specifically geared towards that demographic have very little vested interest in generating series that have any other purpose than to make kids want to buy more genuinely useless shit.

that's a pretty strange thing to say since he was pre-rendered 3d in that bizarre sonic and knuckles ball game you could play if you put an incompatible cartridge on it. also they could have just looked at this.
