you wouldn't see me complaining if he hit ted steven's house and only killed ted stevens though tbh

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

Do you not feel the way he did sometimes? Have you ever? Yeah it's tragic, it's actually really sad that this guy was in such a place. And I am not unsympathetic in my response and I do not devalue his life or the life of the people who died in anyway. I'm just astounded that someone in his position actually did something like this. He was really struggling against the IRS, but reading his essay it seemed like the IRS was just microcosm of the US government. He could have done a lot more damage and killed ALOT more people if he wanted to, like someone said. He wasn't a stupid guy. So I see his action symbolically, as an act of communication to the US government in a way that he could not have without doing this. By using a plane he's making obvious references to 911 and making a very clear anti-Us statement. He said it himself that he spent ten years fruitlessly attempting to communicate with senators and other gov officials. He could have been deferred to different personnel for his entire life and never actually make a change. Not that this action will make a change but I think it has a lot of weight and certainly impact if we're all talking about it.

So to call him a fucking insane dude and write him off is terrible. I wish there was a way to do something with this much impact and not kill people, who individually do not deserve it, but... I guess that's what it takes. Kinda sad huh?

I don't think he's insane, just confused and isolated. Think about it, where did his message get him? He's dead, nothing has changed, and if anything the state is going to become even more intrusive in surveillance and disruption of dissident organizations... You know, people who are actually organized and DOING something constructive in building popular mass movements(a tactic that has a much better track record of initiating social change than tax fraud and suicide bombing).

He's made his statement, killed himself, and he'll go down in history as a frustrated and sad fool who ultimately did more harm than good to his cause. gg bro

Do you think that Timothy McVeigh or Ted Kaczynski were some kinds of heroic visionaries as well? The unabomber's manifesto was a pretty compelling read after all.

Ron Paul is pretty much an internet inside joke at this point because of how fervent and annnoying his supporters managed to be, and they generally ranted about how to fix systems that they didn't themselves understand.  Also, in my opinion he's pretty insane, but he is insane in an honest way, apparently.

Ron Paul 2008!

he's an oldpeople-racist who mingles with conspiracy theorists(crypto anti-semites) and white nationalists(open anti-semites). He also upholds laissez faire capitalism as the ideal form of social organization and has said a whole lot of ridiculous shit because of these things.

Idk if I've typed this on GW already, but there's this chick at work who is a jamaican japanese brit, and she's all about Ron Paul and carries around a copy of his uh.. "The Revolution"(?) book.

Idk what to tell her really since I know shit about politics.

is she hot? That sounds like a hot mix.

I want to meet her jester and make her feel better about herself if she's hot and then alot worse because she has terrible political and probably philosophical views.

also I think you should tell her if she used the book to wipe her ass she would probably get alot more out of it intellectually and that it would also serve as a financial balance of sorts. Even though she prolly spent way more on it then its worth as an asshole cleaner seeing as how the weight of toilet paper would prolly be worth alot less then the book of toilet paper costed her.

Makes me think of those kids in Godard's La Chinoise but with them using Youtube, which is all the more ironic.
