Yeah, I heard about this, but was pretty unfamiliar with Sparklehorse. I gave it a listen and he's pretty good, so this is pretty sad.

this is really sad news. piano fire is one of my favorite songs =(

btw is there a way to get a hold of that last album? it's fucking good. definitely listen to it with stereo headphones if you didnt already.

it'll have an official release later this year but they put it on the web last year because of a label dispute

Awww, this is really sad. This is the first I have ever heard of him, and to listen to It's a wonderful life, while contemplating the facts surrounding, brings it all together for me. Such a touching song that epitomizes the situation and helps bridge the gap  of non-familiarity that may otherwise inhibit empathy. I think of what this song already means to me, and how inconsequential it must be compared to those who know his music, and knew him as a person.
