haha holy shit. it's actually DAVID LYNCH: THE GAME. i just read that it was supposed to be MORE LIKE DAVID LYNCH and they actually pushed back the release date a whole year to change things a bit, presumably so david lynch couldn't sue the fuck out of them.
my fav. character is
naomi watts emily wyatti'll give this game a try at some point. i'm really not particularly fond of horror games, particularly the ones with dreadful controls, both of which seem to be prevalent in this game. the actual gameplay of this looks pretty hideous, but i don't think that's why you'd play a game like this. i've watched a bunch of videos of this game today and at worst it seems pretty interesting.
this is actually the first fucking game on xbox that i've seen that appears to legitimately give a shit about aesthetics and the creative presentation. so many games, even the ones that are fairly good, just seem so indifferent to the audience. it's like the status quo for games now is just hurling graphical realism at you, or some stupid game concept, and just expect you to do the rest of the work in immersing yourself into the game environment or finding some sort of meaning in the otherwise passive, empty world they've provided for you. it's hard to tell if this game really succeeds at being different than that, but it's pretty clear that they're trying. pretty discouraging that their ambition gets rewarded by being a budget title.
