I doubt being stupid has anything to do with it. it's not just his inflection and choice of words, it's everything about him. it's likely much more deep-rooted than "this is just what he learned, now that he's living in japan he should recognize the difference and change"

he's a human and a kinda messed up one too. he's not functioning on robot logic, stuff is going on in there

or you could do what I do and just make so much fucking money you can afford to take off for six months and live in japan on your offtime. There aren't a whole lot of merchant ships that go to japan but my last one stayed there and they got alot that go to Indonesia and singapore especially.

You're full of shit. sorry dude. its not just making the sounds right. japanese being altaic, is inflected. different inflections give words different meaning. on top of that japanese calls for certain inflections in certain places to sound natural. im positive that if u were to read your little romaji(like a tool) you would sound like a jackass.
