The Logitech gaming mice are really the best that I've used. I have a Logitech G5 and a Logitech MX518, both of them are just the right size and weight. Also have a Roccat Kone which is good too, but not as good as Logitech in my opinion.

ahem. I believe last time we played I fragged you so many times you broke your arm on your cheap €10 mouse in a fit of misguided anger.

All Logitech products are (typically) excellent. So you can't go wrong with that mouse. However personally I think your just paying for extra bells and whistles that you don't really need. One of my best mice is a dirt cheap micro-sized travel mouse as it seems to work very well on more surfaces then my other mice.

Trackball FTW!

The main reason why I like this Logitech mouse is because it's the exact right size. I don't like those smaller mice because they're a pain to use.

I'm your guy for logitech mice.

I've owned and used thoroughly all of the following: MX518, G5, G7, G7 revised, G9, G500

My current mouse is the G500... my brothers have my MX518 and G7. Of all the mice, this one is my absolute favorite:

That's right... the first gen G7.

I love the glossy feel, the fact that it's wireless, how it glides, the perfect weight. It has it's flaws... that being short battery life (have to change battery every 6 hours... takes about 10 seconds to do) and a number of them are defective and have issues with disconnecting from the receiver intermittently. But if you get a good working one... it's the mouse to beat, imo.

I use the G500. It's good, but not great. The cord is really a buzzkill... frictionless scroll is mostly useless... the buttons on the side aren't as useful as I thought they'd be... nor are they very comfortable to use. I don't like the texture of this mouse either. If you need high sensitivity and want customizable weight... this mouse has got the DPI you're looking for.

The MX518 is my second favorite mouse. It has 2 very ergonomic side buttons and is just very comfortable. The cord isn't as bad as the G500 either. It seems to be a flatter mouse which I like. It glides better than the G500. The G500 is basically the same shape yet somehow bulkier... needlessly so, I think.

So in order of favorite to least favorite:

G7>MX518>G7 revised>G500>G5>G9

i have been using a default microsoft mouse (branded by dell of course) for about 3 years now and no matter what any of these other gooks tell you about all these fancy mice with their flashy buttons and ergonomic designs, the best mice to go with is your basic default 2 button with a scroll wheel mouse from 2004 .  Everything else is just bells and whistles on something that was already perfected

I just want a mouse that works without thinking about it. I used to have a real nice logitech (for the time) that was awesome/perfect for the longest until water was spilled.

Now I got a completely generic optical logitech model and it'll suit me fine no matter how much longer it actually lasts. (which feels like a while unless something else happens)

I might want to try a wireless mouse but only if it has a docking station and doesn't require me to recharge fucking AA's.

THIS AIN'T THE 90S!!!!!

Microsoft Sidewinder X8, Razer Mamba and Logitech Performance Mouse MX are all wireless that can be also charged while using which is pretty cool!
