Ah...the memories of my cousin kicking everybody's ass in multiplayer mode. Long live the 90s.

The original was one of the first games I really enjoyed playing. The others I only played for like twenty minutes at a time.

I think videogames should still do face graphics the way Goldeneye did

there's too much adherance to standards of realism in today's games

Edit: Finally saw the video, this actually looks pretty cool. I didn't even recognize most of the levels. I wonder if they like knew about Goldeneye Source because yeah it would be disappointing if it was a slightly polished version of the original again... this actually looks kind of (gasp) like a movie?? seriously though the graphics aren't the most amazing shit in the world but they have a good sense of what they can do to make it look more cinematic. The original Goldeneye looks like a Kraftwerk video or something

Edit: The Perfect Dark remake for xbox live rubbed me the wrong way, it looks like they wanted to update but just threw random ideas at it. Cassandra de Vries hair was all wrong

this better play well though. Looks kind of like Black which I hoped was going to be KILLER APP but it kind of blew

i don't know why anybody should be excited about this. this remake is being developed by eurocom, the people who made all those really boring/uninteresting james bond shooters that followed goldeneye. this is only getting made because everyone knows gamers are too fucking stupid to bother researching this kind of thing, and would invariably buy the game based solely on its name. none of eurocom's prior james bond games were anything special, so why should this be any different?

I remember my dad showing me this game as a reason to buy a PSX instead of a N64(????). For some reason I bought the latter and never bought, rented or played this game ever

Hopefully it's splitscreen offline is decent.  Such a shame the last FPS for Wii with offline multiplayer was Red Steel, a launch game.  But if one game to do something about it has to come, might as well be Goldeneye.  I am down with this.

yeah, the biggest reason goldeneye was so remarkable was because it was made by Rare. Seeing a second rate MOVIEGAME studio plagiarizing a 13 year old game isn't exciting at all

hate t'break it to yall, but this isn't a remake either, it's closer to a "reimagining", which i guess is  the same sort of thing these days but i still have roughly 0 interest in this anyway.
