FRIDAYIt was finally friday, the day that we would be picking up rami at the airport. He would be arriving at 9:45AM our time, and we would be waiting
to come and pick him up. So at around 9:30AM, we went to the gate where according to Dada, rami would be arriving. This is what it looked like:

After waiting here for like 15 minutes and lots of people coming out but not rami, we decided that we were probably waiting at the wrong gate!!!
So after some telephone conversations we agreed to meet at the original agreed meeting place: Burger King. After we made our way to burger king
and waiting there for some time, we couldn't find rami so we called him again. He claimed to be at the burger king as well, but we couldn't find him
so there was only one thing that could have happened:
he was at the wrong airport.
Luckily this turned out to be false, turns out there were TWO burger king restaurants at the airport of which one was upstairs (rami was here) and
one was downstairs (we were here). When we found each other the time was 10:30, we've been here for nearly an hour now

Anyways, it was time to make our way to Amsterdam, where we would be spending our day with lots of beer and fun. We took the train, but for
some reason it was incredibly crowded. Here, take a look at a picture depicting the overcrowded train:

If you look closely, you can see part of Dada's face on the left. The train was COMPLETELY full and people were holding themselves to not fall over
(but failed to do so multiple times). Fun fact: the last 10 minutes of the journey I was hanging onto a metal beam and if I would let it go I would
fall and people would probably walk over me.
Having arrived at the Amsterdam central station, it started to occur to me why it was this busy everywhere: Sail 2010 was happening, some big
sailing ships event that comes to Amsterdam every 5 years and over a MILLION people were watching it. I took some pictures to capture the size of
it as we were walking towards it to see what was going on:

It was very crowded, but also very special to see some of these amazing sailing ships that came from all over the world. We went into the Segway
store to check out some segways, these machines are incredible and Dada broke one while we were there as it wouldn't stay upright anymore!!!
We were heading for a giant ferriswheel we could see in the distance, hoping to ride it and get a good view of Amsterdam's skyline and all the
ships that were there at the time. Unfortunately, after getting closer we discovered that the ferris wheel was on the other side of the water and
reaching it would probably take another hour of walking

After this we walked into the city of Amsterdam to drink some cold beers and have some fun! We sat down at this terrace and I took some
pictures of the gang. The lovely lady on the left is my girlfriend.

After having a few beers we headed for the place where we would eat: an all you can eat sushi restaurant. It was a really classy place and
it was rami's first time eating sushi ever (and not to mention his first time eating with sticks, which he obviously wasn't very good at

)

I secretly shot a video during the meal (and denied that I was filming):
rami had octopus, that came with the tentacles still attached. He ate all of it, including the tentacles then mistakenly said that now he could
brag about having eaten
testicles. We had a good laugh about it!
After dinner we decided to go for another beer before heading back to the station and calling it a day. We went to this classy place:

We discussed video games, drank some really nice beers and then we head back to the station.
That was our friday! It was a lot of fun and we had a good time

Here's a bonus picture:

Tomorrow I'll be posting the summary of the next day, where we went to my (used to be) home city: Alkmaar!
