You could use a 1 in place of the "I" or pull up the virtual keyboard or something... it's installed on every windows computer (XP/Vista/7) afaik.

I have a usb keyboard that I use. But I don't use my laptop screen either and I hardly ever move it but still a cheap usb keyboard could be a temporary solution at least.

it doesn't turn on again and I don't think it's under the repair place's warranty anymore. I have some stuff on the hard drive I need. what can I do? I can take the hdd out but then what. it won't fit anywhere

The hard drive doesn't need to fit anywhere, you just need to hook it up and grab the information off of it and then disconnect it. You could also get an external enclosure for it, or a SATA (I'm assuming) to USB cable.

This.

Also then you should proceed to the street and bash your old laptop to the ground in fact drop kick it for me or take it out office space styles

I don't know if it's SATA but I guess I can find that out as long as what the image search tells me about their prongs is true. but um will I be able to like BOOT from this drive then or use it like an external hdd or both

i had the same problem as you cos i spilled rum on my laptop. it eventually became totally broken, but i used the usb and got a further 6 months out of it. get a usb keyboard. this is silly. also i had the display screen thing, i used a monitor i got for free from freecycle as my laptop screen for a while after the laptop display broke but then the thing just wouldn't turn on.

take the hard drive out and encase it, you can usb it to anything after that. i'm still using the hard drive from my last laptop for the crucial files and documents i had on it, and also for extra storage.

I don't know what that is. please stop saying weird things to me. I'll get an enclosure I guess but first does jamie's comment mean you can hook up a monitor and usb keyboard and mouse to the enclosure? yeah right. get real.

i don't know much about but I think its this sort of group that you sign up for that just kind of passes along free shit that people don't need or want anymore and its kind of like a special little yard sale for people in big cities or something of that sort.

It's just mailing lists for a town or city where people say "hey i have a thing i don't want anymore, does anyone want my thing" and other people who want a thing can go pick it up. Or someone who wants a thing can post that they want a thing and someone who has a thing they haven't used in years can say "hey i have a thing i don't want anymore, you can have my thing"
