i think everyone thought you were making a joke. games like that declined n popularity/community moved on/no longer had teens willing to do lots of awful work writing loads of terrible reviews of bad games without getting anything in return besides their name on some staff page

Well I still don't get it. Why did it die? I was under the impression that whoever was originally updating the mainsite left and there was a weird management change. Remember that we still had to send our submissions to a specific person at that point and there was a waiting list? It appears to me the only reason why the mainsite failed was because of that management change. I could be wrong though, which is why I'm asking.

GW5 died because of a bug which turned certain users into Guests - people stopped submitting things because they wouldn't get credit for it. Even us staff were affected by it. You couldn't log into the mainsite anymore. It just collapsed due to bugs.

I'm as bad as Drule at the moment because I didn't follow through with the code. I got ill and spent my summer feeling poop and doing nothing. I don't have anything to do this weekend though as my girl is in Hanover so I will code some stuff up.

The plan was as follows:

A place where people can share what they create regardless of media type but under the name gaming world. This is because we all met here and became awesome at different things. It will be linked into twitter but not facebook. The way of posting is that you can post certain posts through the GW interface and it will come up in the main stream on the site front page.

The mockup that I did and posted in the other thread still applies. If you don't like it then you can always refuse to use it. I think it looked okay though.

If you want to help code over the weekend then just tell me and I'll put you on an admin account on the temporary site. I don't expect anyone to go for this though.
