The first 2 seasons of fringe were (at least to me) very mediocre. Most episodes left me somewhat apathetic, as the plot never really moved much. It was always 'case of the week' crap. I only continued to watch it because I was desperate for some Sci-fi TV and I had a small hope that it'd get better. (also I love Walter)

My opinion changed for this season. Like the ends of seasons of a lot of shows, it left in a cliffhanger with a lot of change in the overall story. However, Usually TV shows I watch "resolve" the cliff hangar the very first episode of the next season wrapping it up as if it was just a ploy to make sure you tuned in next time, but wasn't important to the overall story really.

Fringe didn't do that. The end of the last season has actually made it so the plot is moving in this season quite quickly. The show has become MUCH more interesting.

Anyone else still watching?

Yeah. I <3 Fringe. I love the characters and the mythology of this show. I wasn't such a huge fan of the monster of the week standalone episodes, but now that the plot is moving along steadily it's so much better. It's a shame that not a lot of people watch this though. So much better than a lot of what's on tv nowadays.

I love screaming POTASSIUM BROMATE?! randomly whenever I look at lists of ingredients on something.

One more thing I love about Fringe is the little details that are in each episode, like the appearance of the Observer every week. I didn't spot him in episode 2 so I'm going to have to rewatch and keep my eyes open. I did find him in the S3 premiere though :)

Guys, the show has actually gotten pretty good. Like I'm with you on the first 1 and 1/2 seasons, It was pretty meh most of the time. But the 3rd season so far is really good.

I must not be paying attention because I dont ever see the observer unless the show wants me too.
Does he appear in every episode?

Also been watching this show from when it started and have found it very entertaining especially with the current and main plot line.

Yeah, he's in every single episode. Right from the Episode 1 of Season 1 to the latest episode. He's always observing. It's a fun little game to play to try and spot him on your own when you're watching the show.

Fox has even had him appear in our world at certain sports events. Pretty cool.

Check that out for all his sightings.

just started watching it after reading this topic.. yes, a new favorite tv series. i abandoned glee and started watching Fringe, how i met your mother, and castle.
They balance out my tv series diet.
Just finished season 1 and download season 2. I like it so far and really excited to catch up to season 3. The pilot was meh, buit it got better in every episode, also i spotted the observer in at least 3 episodes aside from the episodes where he is purposely part of the scene.

I'm glad you're getting into it Hero Bash. Season 3 has been extremely amazing so far. It's well worth getting to it as it dives deep into the mythology of the show.

Yeah I have to agree season 3 completely outshines the first two seasons. This show just keeps getting better.

Yes. Finally able to catch up with the latest episode. I haven't spotted the observer in seasons 2 and 3, he's getting harder to observe.
Also, I love the red opening theme when the episode is about the alternate universe.

Speaking of the opening theme, the retro one in season 2 (I think it was the episode called "Peter") was so epic!

yup. when a show reach 3rd/4th seasons they are pretty much set. I'm sure we'll have plenty of fringe to come after season 4.
