I can't find the article but I'm listening to a podcast talk about an article describing the preview of the Spiderman musical (iirc it's the most expensive broadway musical ever).  It is the funniest shit ever.  It was basically the BIGGEST disaster, actors were constantly getting stuck on wires while flying around and they'd just be dangling above the audience, bits of equipment were falling on the audience, bits of scenery would go missing and actors would miss really important cues (which I can't blame them considering people were stuck up in the ceiling), they basically had to keep stopping the show in order to untangle people.  I cannot stop laughing just hearing about this, I can't imagine how amazing this would have been to see.  $65 million dollars to make this.

edit: found it http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/29/theater/29spiderman.html?_r=1&scp=2&sq=spiderman&st=cse

actually i don't know if that's the same article, maybe they were reading more than one because there were more bits that this article didn't have but regardless gosh what a mess

Good news for foxes

I've been trying to make cayenne shrimp and cayenne chicken (cayenne peppers are the best) but I always end up with more spice than flavor (I am making the sauce from powdered cayenne + other stuff and I don't think you can get whole cayennes anywhere here)

yeah i usually find cayenne peppers a bit sharp. like you get the spice for sure but it's out on it's own rather than part of the flavour? i do weird things with spicy food to help out like if it's an indian curry i put vinegar in it. i might check out some actual recipes for stuff soon because i usually just get the gist of what something is and put things in whatever amounts tastes right while i'm making it. i wanna be a bit more methodical maybe, because i feel like my Cuisine has hit a plateau

that's what I do, put some stuff in and see if it tastes ok, because there aren't many recipes out there for serving just one person and I'm not gonna go google Cooking For One

I know what you mean about the spice being on its own, like that one hot sauce that's in every asian restaurant and you see suburban guys in caps and jewelry putting on their food at the dining hall. it can turn into a really good and rich flavor tho. I haven't been using vinegar, that might do it--but cayenne powder+vinegar is Louisiana hot sauce, and I'm going for something a little different! I'm a spice beginner. I never even had red curry. I'm pretty sure habanero peppers are worthless and tabascos aren't my favorite.

I don't get the one that is like anime and then HUGE REALISM GAP with some kind of twisty muscle thing going on oh wait they're probably just a gay but I dunno I remember somebody posted some kind of ultraviolent manga on here and it was like very realistic gore and then shift to anime detail level for the face etc. if it was just anime blood it wouldn't be so bad but yeah the detail level thing disturbs me. I dunno if this makes them more likely to carry out violence or not focusing on just GORINESS somebody who can't suffer realistically

Edit: might've been/ probably was one of mister big t's posts

Quote from: My
Alex... If you enjoy a free internet, the absolute last thing you want to happen is Net Neutrality, unless you want big brother to monitor and control the internet. Comcast has every right to charge and control its network, if they step out-of-bounds, the market will correct them. Politics of NN will eventually censor, block, or start convicting those not complying with their neutrality laws. Net Neutrality is a slippery slope that will be nearly impossible to reverse.

Thoughts? :P

See Dietcoke's comments and I'd like to add that it's hilarious how he says it will be "a slippery slope that's impossible to reverse" considering that net neutrality has been THE DE FACTO STATE OF THE INTERNET SINCE ITS CONCEPTION.

Like this isn't something new, this is how it is and always has been except companies that stand to profit from overselling bandwidth and reducing their clients' ability to freely use the internet now want to change it.

what you really have to be careful of is the goddamn government telling the friendly corporations to leave internet traffic untouched, that's some big brother shit right there
