yes!!

the dude in the picture(safari/SafariGoku if i recall correctly) posted this gem somewhere on the forums for some fucking reason nobody will ever understand. so SB came along and did the best possible job of summarizing the creepiness of it with ultrafont HE ISBUILDING HAPPY MORMON FUTURE. i don't quite remember a lot about safari himself though, outside of the fact that he was a mormon and fairly annoying about it at the time(although i seem to recall him being more tolerable later[or at least fashionably aloof/elitist, which was the IN-THING at the time]). to be honest that was a long time ago and i wouldn't remember the guy at all if it wasn't for this picture and sb's comment. don't think i ever laughed harder at anything here than when i laughed at this.

it'd be equally creepy that i still have this picture, but apparently we had some PHOTOSHOP THING and i had saved it for editing. for reference, here is what i did with this wonderful picture:

amazing i still have all this shit, but i've been using the same shitbox computer for seven years so i have all kinds of ridiculous old gw shit that i never bothered deleting.

No you're right, it did come from SB (I think) as a one-liner. That topic even refers to HAPPY MORMON FUTURE as an in joke.

just made freddy krueger and Cobra Commander on last year's wwe smackdown game.

the games are bad but the create mode is fun, like creating random characters. Bane vs Freddy Krueger vs Turok, with Darkseid as manager.
Characters like Bane, Turok (Joshua Fireseed(turok 2), Danielle and Joseph Fireseed(turok 3) are all regular characters I make) and The Barroness(from gijoe)

I don't like wrestling, but I love to create stuff, and just on that value alone, the smackdown games are worth it. It's like a database of 3d models of your ideas. I used to design superheroes on wrestling games so i had a reference for when drawing.

ahaha cliff lee signed with the phillies for less money than what the yankees offered him ($40 million less). I mean he's still getting tons of money and the phillies gm is trying to make a whole team of pitchers, pitchers playing every position but it's pretty cool the yankees couldn't buy him. they didn't even want him for 7 years they just didn't want anyone else to have him

the second to last time shepperd was here he was upset with us because we don't talk sport.

Considering Obama/Dems traded away the public option for the sake of bipartisanship this is hilariously ironic.

A story Ive only finally gotten round to reading myself is an old Legion of Superheroes from 1982 titled 'The great darkness saga'. It's one of the better superhero comic stories released in the 80's. Well worth a read for anybody who likes superhero stories, or likes Jack Kirby's ideas being handled well!
It was apparently quite a suprise in it's time due to the villain not having the overexposure he recieved since then, and there is a good sense of just something menacing, kinda ominous throughout the story. It also works really well as a sequel to Final Crisis despite being written like 25 years before it.
Read it.
