do we still do topics where someone posts concepts/screenshots for a game in developmnet and asks who wants to help work on it? this time I've got music and everything but could use some help with the coding.

do people really care about that or is it just a media thing? maybe people care because its a media thing? a reason to go outside instead of sitting in basements at night listening to rusko?

People actually really care but most likely because the media has made it out that they *should* care.  My grandparents literally believe everything they read in their newspaper to the extent where it is slightly disturbing to listen to them.

My Daily Mail is beginning to look rather thumbed.  I think they are beginning to suspect me.  I'm waiting for the day they round me up into the wicker man.

Must. Emigrate.

My neighbours have union flags and bunting up outside their house and I heard them singing along with the hymns on tv

I guess it's a chance to celebrate nationalism in a weird way. here in the US we just get obnoxiously drunk and blow up fireworks that we bought from the injun reservation, AND we get to do it every year

i don't know what the bloody hell you are talking about. i think it's clear that he uh jumps (or maybe bungeejumps if i had seen the goldeneye movie but im pretty sure i saw it after the game) STRAIGHT into the airduct he is in the facility map. there's a definitive continuity there. i think a lot of times i tried to go back to the dam map but there was a grate in the way and the ducts lead up... i tried looking as far as i could up there. i kept thinking that man, i'll never get to see the bottom of the dam like this. maybe there is a noclip code for this game? and so forth

likewise, i tried really hard to get back into facility in the plane map but no luck. i think you can even see back at the facility from there! i think uh stuff like this fueled this perception that i really could go back to stuff and uh, i'm pretty sure i found a glitch through which i could get into an old area, except that it was strangely hollow and empty.... AAAA or was it mission imposible? at the first map you could go into the area usually only accesible at the revisit of the map at the end of the game!!!!!! hint, press start for the map to "jumpstart" so to speak so that you don't have to see the boat departure - animation. then, if you are a quick, jump BACK into the boat...

it's really amazing how close Goldeneye and Mission: Impossible were, not really as game games but like how they were both centered around weird easter egg shit/glitchiness

I've got to get better at my word use

I guess how they each had all this secret stuff/rumors and I mentioned before I miss those days. I miss when I was young and even straightforward things didn't make sense yet/hard to follow. I think we should make a game with this approach like Goldeneye 64 is pretty straightforward on paper/the little scripted scenes but in practice it's all weird. Like make an bizarre rpg from the driest source material/plotline possible. Paladin's Quest was pretty ordinary with the storyline, maybe with some nuance/intelligent bits here and there but mostly it was just elves and dragons or some shit. Somehow it ends up having this totally out-there graphics though

I am thinking of shaving the sides of my head. Will this mean that I am a tosser or cool.

I love the feeling of the clippers. It turns me on.

i know a bunch of people who are obsessed with the room. tell us how it goes

It was great, he tried to physically pick up my friend and kept teaching us how to properly brofist with explosion and acted exactly like he does in the movie.

On another note we smoked a bunch of weed with the lead singer of fucked up and he was a really cool dude and told us stories about sonic youth and showed us two rap books he bought. My friend lives in a great part of Toronto so we keep meeting famous people

Finished with school assuming there isn't something I've forgotten to do to graduate. Got all my credits, got my mandatory in Internship and "Senior innovation project" done.

I have to go and get a "grad check" still though. I hope I didn't forget something stupid.

coverage of royal wedding acts as helpful reminder that i need to get out of this fucking country before it kills me.

I think this is Quest 64! Everything there sounds super generic on paper but in the game itself it's just that bit stranger and uh more blurred somehow / direct living embodiment of violently colourful yet indistinct Nintendo Power screenshot. The beginning of the game is like the middle of a conversation with some old priest without any kind of establishing shots or anything and then you have to leave a bizarrely spacious monastery filled with empty rooms and just enough conspicious details to seem meaningful. Whole corridors filled with doors leading to the same generic empty room and your caracter has slow elaborate animation for opening each door. Also the camera angle is just that bit off all the time and there's this strange cooing music going on. And everything has really bright Diddy Kong Racing graphics too.
