i don't know what the bloody hell you are talking about. i think it's clear that he uh jumps (or maybe bungeejumps if i had seen the goldeneye movie but im pretty sure i saw it after the game) STRAIGHT into the airduct he is in the facility map. there's a definitive continuity there. i think a lot of times i tried to go back to the dam map but there was a grate in the way and the ducts lead up... i tried looking as far as i could up there. i kept thinking that man, i'll never get to see the bottom of the dam like this. maybe there is a noclip code for this game? and so forth
likewise, i tried really hard to get back into facility in the plane map but no luck. i think you can even see back at the facility from there! i think uh stuff like this fueled this perception that i really could go back to stuff and uh, i'm pretty sure i found a glitch through which i could get into an old area, except that it was strangely hollow and empty.... AAAA or was it mission imposible? at the first map you could go into the area usually only accesible at the revisit of the map at the end of the game!!!!!! hint, press start for the map to "jumpstart" so to speak so that you don't have to see the boat departure - animation. then, if you are a quick, jump BACK into the boat...
it's really amazing how close Goldeneye and Mission: Impossible were, not really as game games but like how they were both centered around weird easter egg shit/glitchiness
I've got to get better at my word use
I guess how they each had all this secret stuff/rumors and I mentioned before I miss those days. I miss when I was young and even straightforward things didn't make sense yet/hard to follow. I think we should make a game with this approach like Goldeneye 64 is pretty straightforward on paper/the little scripted scenes but in practice it's all weird. Like make an bizarre rpg from the driest source material/plotline possible. Paladin's Quest was pretty ordinary with the storyline, maybe with some nuance/intelligent bits here and there but mostly it was just elves and dragons or some shit. Somehow it ends up having this totally out-there graphics though
