on a note closer to interesting, this investment report http://ifile.it/8nkxqh3 is fucking astounding. maybe y'all already know since chomsky's been on about it but basically, they point out the growing gap between rich and poor with immaculate detail and then explain how they plan to exploit it / which legislation will help maintain what they call the plutonomy, which i assume is short for plutocratic economy.

As of today, it has been five years since the last time I drank alcohol. I still have bottles of bourbon, whiskey, and rum in my house though, because I still believe that commitment without temptation is meaningless. Of course, they also come in handy when I'm cooking steaks or being a decent host for friends who still drink.

I've really cut down on my alcohol. I drink it every now and then, but I am doing much better than when I used to have three cocktails before going to uni in the morning every day.
