it was kind of a mess but every so often it got to good places. if you haven't seen it, probably i wouldn't go out of my way to say you should but i enjoyed it. i got something out of it. it's about as good as breaking bad is, and by that i mean it doesn't have the great highs that BB has sometimes but it doesn't have the awful lows it does either. also it's more interested in women, and BB is a show about dicks and what they do to people mostly while not actually paying attention to the people things are done to. terriers isn't amazing with that but there are more women so it's a more whole kind of show in that way. however there are a few gay jokes througout the season (i mean, innuendo that the two main guys are gay and we're supposed to laugh at that or something).

the characterisation is pretty affecting as it goes on. hank's an alcoholic so obviously i related to that whole BE A GOOD MAN/BE A DUMP struggle more than most but he's not the only character and it's not his only struggle. some of the plots are kind of bullshit like uh katie fucking that professor was pretty boring really cos the refreshing thing about katie and britt was how their relationship wasn't dramatic (although the fact that katie was the fuck up initially and not britt isn't the usual) was what was so nice about it and why i liked katie a lot in the first few eps. later on it kind of devolves into britt's TOO MUCH of a man and katie can't be dealing with that shit (which is totally life and that's fine), so i was kind of let down by the way britt and katie's story went cos i thought they were basically gonna be okay and loved that a show was able to do that and then they just threw in the plot out of kind of nowhere but okay.

did anyone watch it? i mean heck, i sure do check all the shows out and shit it's better than the walking dead or dexter or something. maybe we should all stop watching those two.

it would also be nice if mad men paid the slightest attention to black people. weiner keeps saying 'that wasn't my experience' and no shit but neither was don draper so shut the mouth and do something.

something about the tv commercials made me hate it but I can't remember what. and they've got no trailers on the internet so I can't find out.

i don't really follow this show (or any show for that matter) but the few episodes of terriers I have seen I really enjoyed. 

not a lot of good reasons why, just that I enjoy britt as a character, and I can kind of relate to the nice guy always getting played for a chump but also kind of stupid in a way.

well this isn't an advertisement, i just wanted to make it known that while this show doesn't do all the things right, it's at least trying to do some of the important things and i have seen the whole first season so i want to talk about it if anyone else has seen it.

just giving my initial opinions of the show, not trying to persuade anyone not to watch it. from the outside it doesn't look good to me, but maybe it is?
