i will skip to flash as soon as it can do dot pattern shading crisp outlines, high-fps gifs and can export them without majorly messing up one or many of those conditions

It can do any of those things if you know how... The crisp outline thing is coming in Flash 8. (but can be done in any version if you aren't LAZY)I haven't seen it in application, but I'm sure the dot pattern shading is possible with the bitmap fill option. Even if that method fails there's always using masks. (I haven't tested either though since I'm not interested crazy Japfaggy manga effects)And I know the methods I've listed aren't affected by high FPS's. I'm curious as to why you even said that. (have you had a bad experience with flash?)

Well, the main problem is the gif exportion. Whatever of those features I make always gets messed up, shittily blurred and horribly lagged.Then again I have Flash 5.0 so it could be that.

Well yeah, gif does have a lot of problems. Mainly since you really have to be bare-bones when using flash for Gif. *no masks, no actionscript, don't EVEN try using masks and exporting to gif* If you want to make gif animations, I would just avoid flash. (maybe use Toonboom, it's pretty close to flash, but does gif extremely well)The funny thing is, that I always thought flash was better because it exported to a format that ISN'T gif. (you know, something with smaller sizes and sound support)
