Now they're gonna do all the others for 20 years huh. I only liked FF7 for qualities that the remake lacks, and the new look is boring, so I'm not Mega Man Powered Up about it.
 
This is stupid but do any of you have like a list of RPGMaker games from the old days that are important to you? Especially if they're still available somewhere. When I was a kid I kind of missed out on the scene except for random games that I found by chance.
 
 
After ages I finally found out how to get old Java applet games working, because no one source explains this usage clearly - you install the JDK 8 (the last JDK that supported appletviewer), and use its appletviewer.exe with an html or php file with the applet in it. You have to be sure the files are all there, so I used VisualWget to grab big chunks of webpages and hope I get what I need. So I can finally run most of these titchy little games I played as a young'un. It feels very completing, I might record some footage for youtube, because there isn't any.
 
BTW I reinstalled Firefox and youtube is giving me good recommendations again.

It has a bit of a "Mario Maker" vibe of nonsense to it - and that's not a compliment!

BTW cancel that on the RPG Maker games request, I've got like hundred snow. lol

No sorry. SegNin uploaded it but vanished. rpgmaker.net has it in their rare/lost games topic - https://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/22883/ - By rights it should be in the "broken link" section (SegNin left a broken megaupload link behind), but instead it's in the "vague requests" section with some other games you asked for once. I would go and bug them about it. Somebody might well have picked it up when SegNin reuploaded it the first time. "Red Eye Dragoon" had it in 2006.

The rare/lost list is spread across multiple fan servers and hundreds of pages of an individual third-party file storage site. The topic moves faster than the OP updates. I won't try to get anything from the site's conventional non-rare database, because it's set up to make bulk downloading impractical. All in all, amassing RPG Maker Games is a pain in the ass!
