aaa I had one of those being chased dreams, where I was kidnapped and thrown into the back of a van but I got out and was running down the highway (no other cars) but it was videogame logic INFINITE HIGHWAY with impassable mountain ranges on either side but they could never seem quite to catch up with me even though they got closer and closer (Xeno's paradox)
um so yeah we should make a game with all the bugs/easter eggs/etc. that vexed us as kids, and see if there's a way aesthetically to evoke how MYSTERIOUS it was. Like have the top right quarter of an unused sprite in some visible but unaccessible area, unreachable islands, suitcases you never find out the contents of (I'm not just stealing all this from Goldeneye, the suitcase thing is a plot point in like 7 movies too, you know Pulp Fiction etc. etc.). Some fuzzy distorted digitized speech that is indecipherable and in Malaysian at the same time. Simulated Engrish dialogue that seems like it's saying something very important
