hell yeah!! i showed some screenies of those things i found to porpentine on twitter a while back!! i can't find the site again but there are some super cute lil windows into a desktop world. tiny isometric worlds contained within japanese windows 98 boxes... hyaah...

that screenshot and the ones i posted are of postpet (and i guess its related spinoffs, it went on for a long time and i think is still around as some sort of subscription thing that interacts with twitter somehow, still looking into that). i spent hours and hours as a kid trying to get it to work with no japanese knowledge at the time. i was thinking about it because i found a book about postpet 2001 today and bought it for 800 yen because my god postpet
