What an nightmarish, suffocating book. I can't read this without getting paranoid myself.
There's one bit where she's talking about how people dug holes in the ground and moved in beneath and above her apartment and built "nests", and ripping up carpets after she left a place and totally seeing holes in the floor beneath, except they clearly had gotten advanced notice and been covered up. The first Unscrupulous is all about Eva Gabor, who she used to work for and who was her best friend apparently, and Eva Gabor shows up in this book in the form of a disembodied voice giving her comfort and telling her not to worry along with other dead celebrities on the other side, over the author's communicatory sound wave machine.
Near the end of the google preview EVERYTHING starts talking to her that she touches, her keys, faucets, water, toilet, and she's overjoyed because they give her information and aid and she says it's a gift from God to help her out and keep her mind off her harassment. Then she reiterates that this all really happened, and that you'd really have to live it to believe it, but she believes in God so much that everyone on the other side is praying for her too, and that's the end of that line of thought. Then she starts talking about how if you start hearing voices, you should try and record everything. Then it cuts off at a really tantalizing part. And the whole thing was apparently written in 2004 - I wonder what she's doing now.
