...sometimes people do things like dissociation to safely contain and deal with traumas at the present time, and then deal with them later through trauma processing. it's a natural process.
my friend dealt with traumas at the time with dissociation, then later on processed them by getting used to really, really feeling and expressing those (and further) emotions (when he felt that there was safe amount of time passed after it). I mean by this that it's a natural process, and it has follows an ebb and flow and it's best not to rush things out of pressure. man i am so NOT good at advicing people still lol.
