I was reading a story recently and somthing one of the characters mentioned gave me an idea. Do you think it would be interesting to have a character Who initially there traits make them seem like a really nice person (not perfect), but then as the story goes on you discover that each trait is born from somthing more nefarious and cruel and that by the end of the book, the character has gone through a transformation in the eyes of the reader from a nice calm, smily, happy person to a horrible, cruel, darkly wretched creature without actually changing the character itself? The idea is that the character stays the same throughout the book, just the readers perspective.

not exactly, let me explain. You have a nice man lets say he's called Mr.b. Now Mr.b is overflowing with love, he's always giving away sweets to the local kids and being an all around nice person, but as the story goes on, it's relvealed he has too much love to give as he's stalking and raping women. The character and his traits doesn't change at all, just the readers perspective becuase more infomation is revealed.

Are you sure it's the same? i can only find tsundere on tv tropes. the way I had enisioned it was the chararacter is basicly always has been an ass hole phsycopath but no one knows becuase the same traits that make him an ass hole psychopath in a normal setting (like on the street, at the supermarket) make him a nice guy, but at home in his basement or his personal thoughts he's actually an ass hole psychopath, his traits don't change at all, he doesn't suddenly stop being a nice guy, it's just his nice guy traits don't seem so nice in this setting.

What I like to do is basically write a bunch of pages about characters and their actions and then say it was all a lie, say that it was just what I think happened because I wasn't there to see. Like I introduce a character and say she's an obese black woman and write about all the disgusting things she does but then I point out she really isn't an obese black woman, then I insert a picture of an obese black woman and say that was her all along. I'm not even joking.

Swordfish, I absolutely love the idea because it's an  exploration of internal motivations. It's also quite similar to many mystery stories where one's initial view of things is often turned on its head by new revelations. A simple case of vandalism may turn out to be otherwise, a chance meeting of strangers may in truth be quite deliberate, and what appear to be innocent words may in fact have quite deadly import.
Everyone has the right to be himself; wise men know how to,when, and whether to navigate the boundary between their rights and those of others when they collide.
