Hi all you won't recognize me but i made a couple really embarrassing posts here like 2 years ago and I just wanted to apologize for that. Cya.

Fuck wasps. My dad dragged me and my brother with him to go help him load up some stuff he he plans on selling onto his truck yesterday.

Anyway, I pretty much have this phobia of any and all flying stinging insects. Namely bees and wasps. He mentioned that there was a hive of hornets that needed to be hit with some raid when we got there a few days before but I had forgotten this. When we got there we didn't see any and we started loading them up and the guy that let us in gave us some wasp killer and I realized that this was the job he was talking about with he wasps.

I spent basically 4-6 hours loading a truck with heavy industrial equipment that had sometimes had fucking hornets living in them. spent most of that time spazzing out and running away from them when they showed up and getting yelled at for it. I became obsessed with figuring out which beams had the hives so I eventually started kicking them slightly and prepared to run in case they had a hive. I eventually kicked one slightly and like 40 of them spilled out and I froze in shock and got stung on the fucking leg that kicked the beams. I could barely function or help them move the stuff because 90% of the time there were 5+ wasps flying around and I couldn't fucking bare it. Near the end of the job, I was angrily called back in from my latest retreat and a wasp began flying towards me and I instinctively DIVED OUT OF THE WAY and hit my head on the 40 or so pound metal beam my brother was holding and got screamed at by my dad again telling me to effectively to get a hold of myself and that I could end up killing myself if I kept it up. I yelled back at my dad that I couldn't fucking help it and my younger brother told me "Just go away" bitterly (he basically thought I was being stupid as well). So I jumped in the trucks cab and wasn't called back again.

I understand I have a irrational fear. I've even told my dad this long ago and he just got agitated and told me how that is really dumb and terrible and I should 'fix that'. But just shit, couldn't he had hit that shit with raid the day before hand? (he had visited the site before).

He also told me I should get over my fear because if I acted this way at a job I'd get fired.

Yeah the injury I sustained from whamming my head hurts today and my wasp sting just itches but c'mon. I mean FUCK. FUCK WASPS. I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO TOLERATE THEM.

I'm also admittedly baffled that they never got stung once. Probably because of a combination of luck and acting somewhat calm around them BUT THAT IS JUST SOMETHING I CAN'T DO.
