I had a dream about a new seth macfarlane show called "Male Jesus" coming to fox in order to fill the void left by cult classic Allen Gregory. the commercial showed a college guy who looked like a thinner, more popular version of the son from Family Guy, in an apartment kitchen w/ absurd variety of appliances. he accidentally cuts his finger off (cooking being a job more suited for women of course) and yells "Jesus fucking Christ!"; then there is a magical poof and a bored-looking Jesus appears, and he deadpans something offensive-sounding about not fucking hos. jesus looks at the screen before the commercial cuts to the show's logo, featuring the idyllic, kouros male bro and his pal jesus

the last part was probably influenced by the chapter I'm on in saints row, where this guy who talks in autotune makes you drive around his hos

so when are we going to have a topic about The Hunger Games and how as far as I've seen so far it's not like controversial movie at all and essentially is shiny orange teal American repackaging of Battle Royale and PG-13 (!!!) and whatnot and it seems like GIRL POWER Nickelodeon in the 90's kids rule adults stink somehow from what I've seen. Would be awesome if it was bleak as fuck traumatizing unsuspecting teenagers and stuff

i am planning on reading the hunger games soon but from what i've heard about it yeah it is basically battle royale but takes place in appalachia and idk how that could possibly be bad


of course part of what made battle royale so good is that these kids were classmates whereas in hunger games they're from different districts or w/e so it kind of loses out on CAN YOU KILL YOUR BEST FRIEND so i'm not expecting it to be nearly as amazing just maybe entertaining for a few???
