Fragile Hearts is an anime inspired comedy RPG, with 8 complete episodes in total. It is a remake of the old tech demo version with completely new gameplay and improved areas and layouts.

This game features hilarious anime portraits, 2D environments, and some really funny characters and plot twists. The complete game is now finished and work has begun on the sequel.
PLOTWhat do a "wanted" knight, an unemployed witch, a talking cat, and a bumbling old wizard all have in common? They're all charged with the generic RPG task of finding the "Chosen one" and fulfilling a tired prophecy to save the world from a resurrected evil overlord!  Follow a small band of "replacement" heroes as they do their best to foil the evil toils of the overlord. You'll meet many interesting characters along the way, like Amia, the crippled dominatrix, Poko, a blob that everyone wishes would die, and Iggsley, some stupid kid's imaginary friend.
SPECIAL FEATURES-An animal recruitment system
-8 full length episodes
-Consequential endings which will drastically change the world for the sequel
-Boasting with extra content, including a director's cut (development hell)
SCREENSHOTS

Changes made since old and now defunct tech demo:

-Added intro movie.
-Rebuilt areas of the game for a more aesthetically pleasing experience.

-Fixed tileset passibility errors (to the best of my knowledge).

-More area improvements
-Added more items throughout
-Episodes 7 and 8 included

took a break from DF to play this. Really enjoy the story but the batles could gets mundane. Also got an error when entering Chapter 4 that a file lok13 can't be found. Also on that area before the cave to ch.4, there is a dog that doesn't disappear even after you fought him.

I hope there is a way to make up for lose exp. and items from past areas, i pretty much ninjad most of the enemies at the individual stoylines and i wasn't able to ope the shop in the area before ch.4 because i didn't know the cave would end that chapter.

Hey, thx for the feedback! The lok13 error was brought to my attention yesterday, I just haven't had time to fix it (twisted my back so I've been off the comp too). Anyways, I did add the missing file to my RMN locker here

Just put it in the charset folder and it should fix the bug.

If that doesn't work I'm going to upload a new version of the game (hopefully) tonight with the fix. I could also add a cheat for you in that cave area that would make up for the lost items and exp if you'd like. I'll send you instructions on how to do it when I upload the new one.

About the battles, you're right about how boring they can get. I had a custom battle system originally, which was crap and I had to scrap it in the end. I then added a few extra tweaks to it for the beta test, but again, it caused more bugs than I was able to deal with. I still plan on implementing them eventually, but it won't be for a few months untl I can work out all of the problems. At the very latest, it'll happen when I release the sequel (which will have even more battle tweaks and features).

Wait what is changed in 1.11 aside from the new charset?

Also how do I access the 'cheat' just want to know what items there were on the shop though i don't really want to cheat or anything.

The only changes are the new charset and the added cheat.

Go here and look at the CHEAT pic, the bottom left corner (pink box) is where the hidden cheat is. In the game, go to that spot (it's near the entrance of the cave) and press enter once. You'll gain 2 levels, get a claymore, and 15 potions. Totally optional, but it could help.
