I seriously know nothing about graphic design, poster making, or anything that is worth your time when creating something.  and yet I have somehow been given the task of having to make a poster for a concert that I'm hosting later this month.  So here is something that I came up with so if some of you more design savy people could take a look at it and say what they think about it, that would be super helpful.  I didn't compress the size of the image, so here is a link to it http://i42.tinypic.com/33wwsir.jpg

Hmm. Would it work if I say that it's obviously an amateur work (not bad not good) yet I don't know how to improve on it.

alright.  also i'm hoping to change the actual photo i was going to do a cool night scene but then my gf decided to be a bitch a not help me with that

I like the one with the background but that's just my opinion (of course the red texts should be blue). still, the text seems awkwardly 'cluttered'
