GROAN well i have to dl thru mediafire et all in pieces to get mine. or buy it with 15e from local shop (spit, idek if the game's core mechanisms are relatively same/are close to d2 cos that game had good core mechanism for dungeon generation and item generation) so i gotta wait 4 a day until then.
EDIT got it now, playin it now. i'll play it first & decice whether i'll play it in the following two weeks since i gotta read to my entry exams!! shipe!!!! it's not fair I No but life over games. semper games.
also: whoa the game has a pr good atmosphere thanks to the strangely coloured, waxen graphics and great ambience + the fuckign tristram song hell yeah. you get immersed pretty quickly but groan is the dungeon part tedious!! i know the slow walking speed (i actually think it's the really charming part about the game but okay once you've been long in the game, you really are dreaming of the run button from d2 or some kind of cheap teleport spell or click on minimap and vóila/pestó, u walk there) but holy heck, okay i can deal with walking back and forth the first level but then you go down one level - okay i get it, its a cold war on maintaining town portal scrolls (costs 200 gold, how to get that than lose that much constantly + healing potion maintenance) but THEN appears the fucking skeleton archers and aaaaaa groaaaaaaaann.
idk it's DEFINITELY a tedious game in the dungeon part and you don't really get too many zany, exciting drops (the enchaments seem really similiar). and the it's pr simple in the dungeon. actually i can see how's this going to progress from beginning to end, groan. i have to give it that save the skelly archers (fuck em) the game has some difficulty/gives you a chance to make your way thru a pretty tough hell which i liked.
EDITEDIT nvmind, sorry fc but i'm gonna pass. spiritual or nostalgia... aint workin on me.
the item amount increased drastically on later levels and even the variety by some... but holy shit, this was a good reminder why i don't play games these days. every time i come off from playing my head aches, is numb and i can't be active or productive after that... i tried really hard but you can't get ANYTHING out of the game, it's mind-bogglng boring optimization from beginning to end and i guess that's the core attraction of any game? hone your (game's, not even your actual skills) arreangeament, organization and timing to dull perfection. and it's the same for civi 4 and diablo... there's not even a slightest of story to figure out even (do not smirk dear dreader!! there is nothing praise-worthy in story's function as a logical puzzle, it's the same scum in different form... do you hear me anime/manga storywriters!??!). even ADOM is optimization but it's at least in some form of macabre survivalist game where your life might end as well on a whim of fortune even at high-level characters (and arguably the moment you become strong and know enough of in-game stuff it does become more of a drone) so there's kind of humour in the whole gaminess of the Shit. it's like playing some kind of pleasant spacechat-echoin world where all your steps are more of less stepping on a russian roulette. earl enjoys exploring these ruins, your life is a peacuful valley- AAAH YOU GROW AN ANTENNA!! YOUR HANDS START TO EJACULATE etc
i'll just ramble to the end of world, maybe it clears my head and i'd slowly start to comprehend what i'm writing here or am thinking. uh the indie games are idk absolutely the same Shit but it's kinda funny that it's not sure whether it wants to remove the game elemetns from it or glamorize it or nostalgize it in the process so you get these ultra-smooth easy boring game mechanics or cutscenes and idk enough going on about indie games/music but more about the kind of a imaged situation where the game isnt' sure who he is anymore, distorted identity/existential crisis. bleh that wasn't too rich of a trail of a topic ain't eet. but i kinda like the idea of whimsical/like secretively chasing after this imaginary ideal world where the game in it's way to function with it's world is healthy/Finally Good or whatever. hold on need to barf, just a moment.
i kinda saw for a short moment how games could actually function game system wise (i mean besides euro boardgames/cardgames which rule a -lot-) but i lost it!! i mean the vision. it probably had to do with kind of making the game mechanics... well i was thinking about this game blast doors as good system but then i remembered that Blargh, Same Scum Same old... and i thought that maybe the game mechanics are more there to cause suprise, like some kind of unpredictable stacking effect of some chained series of skills. like make ridficilous spells where bonzi's spell knocks catamites into air, fly's into the wall, but since it's a DIGGING SPELL too so he gets SUCKED into the solid rock by few feets under!! what an end of a life... idk it's funny but space funeral and murder dog both had PLEASANT (peasant?? marx (or MANX) smiles...)) game mechanics, they rule compared to games in general so i don't know WHAT to think of... and yeah vidiot game unfortntl becomes a little more of a chore once u figure out the mechanisms but i really liked the warioware? feel of the game and how you get thrown into tons of arbitrary "games" and "choices" where you are unsure whether any of your choice really matter.s.. or do they?? is there acutal progression in the game? but the feeling kinda disapears ofc once the same scenarios come up again.
