Out of sheer boredom I started reading Riceboy and Order of Tales and they were surprisingly good. I'm now reading Vattu and it's also good. They can all be found here:http://www.rice-boy.com/ The art is really great, there's no shitty humor, a good storyline etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations for any other decent webcomics?

Before recommending anything, please consider the following things because there's a million webcomics online with this stuff and it's just not for me sorry:
No shitty internet humor, no lolz, no cats, no jokes about videogames. No anime-esque animation. Generally this stuff sucks. Must be reasonably mature. I'm not a kid. I'd prefer a storyline/adventure one also rather than a one off comedy one. However, if it's something special feel free to recommend.

So there ya go. Thanks again.

Well this comic has everything you've mentioned but it's a very interesting story about a nerdy guy who gets sucked into a strategy game of his own creation.

give it a shot

Read the comics on kiwisbybeat.com.  Minus is a classic, and Modern Fried Snake and Great! are both also excellent.  I think I also read Socks and enjoyed it, and I think there are a few others that I haven't read yet.

The best I can muster :P

Probably my favorite webcomic. Its a comedy, but the story becomes the focus later and its actually pretty well done and has good art. I hope you are OK with black and white only art.

Also there is quite an archive and the author recommends those that can't stomach the 1 off comedy comics and lesser art found in the early ages of the comic to start on a latter 'episode'.

when i was still letting myself spend time reading webcomics, these were my favourites: http://catandgirl.com/, http://www.buttercupfestival.com/ saving cat and girl binge for when i need it. i guess you can file these under comedy, but i probably wouldn't call it shitty internet humour. the only storyline webcomic i have read is Anders and Maria, the start of which is here http://anderslovesmaria.reneengstrom.com/2006/09/11/2006-09-11/. it's a slice of life deal, which probably qualifies as grown up.

I remmeber rice boy from around 05. Never got around to finishing it but it was an awesome fantasy stroy of sorts.

I would definitely recommend classics like Kid Radd and if you know anything about MGS, then Gigaville.com

JOJOLION has been going on for too little time and the updates are scarce but it's promising, these twin peaks jojo's...

Oh yeah Hark A Vagrant is quite splendid. I also like http://www.smbc-comics.com, they are usually based on science/math/philosophy/etc. but not terrible like XKCD.

Wow, cool thread.

If you don't mind comics that have like STOPPED BEING MADE but are still up to read, then I have a couple of recs. Also: One is anime-style, the other has adult humour portrayed in a childlike style - but I figure that others might come here seeking recommendations and think I WILL CHECK THEM OUT even if you aren't down.

http://wigucomics.com - Wigu, 'the bravest little boy in the world'. Really sweet comic with some pretty funky characters. Adventures abound for sure.

http://boymeetsboy.keenspot.com - About homosexuals (oh no) but the plotlines are pretty interesting and the characters are likeable. The downside to this one is that it is done in a western-anime style really.

Girl genius It's really good, it's a gas lamp fantasy (think mad scientists and steam punk)

General protection fault Is a bit of a geeky web comic, It has sean connery in it.

GunnerKigg court A wierd one, I can't even describe it, VERY good art.

El Goonish Shive This is had magic, technology, transformations, aliens, wizards, silly, shrinking, cat people, squirrel people, concepts, Expositions, Explanations, , school and really good art (not at first).

No one has mentioned Questionable Content yet. It seems to (mostly) meet your criteria. Best read from the beginning (note: the art is pretty terrible in the early strips, at least compared to how it looks now).

Wow Kermit. That's a name that hasn't popped up in a while.

Been reading this one after I read the others recommended by Vellfire. It's light hearted and quite fun.

Also didn't expect to, but I'm actually enjoying Gunnerkrigg Court, it's pretty well done as well. Has a weird/esoteric feeling to it which I like.

I remember starting reading QC back in like 200s-300s.  To think its been years since then is ridiculous
