That is not actually a bad idea. Though really that's something he and Dada would get to decide.

It's win win. SW gets a mainsite, Itch gets a somewhat active forum.

idk, I'm skeptical. in my experience these things usually just don't work out because you're basically removing the ability for the sit to organically formulate its own community. since you're merging it with another community, that puts constraints on what kind of discussion goes on, how people interact, and that might not sit very well with the people who actually visit and use itch who didn't find it through SW.

personally I think it would be better if itch made its own forum, and then anyone who's interested can register an account there. I know I'll be checking the place out. but somehow I don't see the use of adding a ton of inactive users, old posts and forum history, and an ancient, highly specific forum culture to a new website. it would be more fun imo to just watch itch's community grow by itself without outside influence.

I've never liked the term webring. Even back in the 90s it sounded like...dodgy somehow?

I don't never wanna be part of no "ring". Mayhaps a grouping, or collaborative network, or coalition of likeminded individuals acting as autonomous collectives?!

We could call it a webdonut maybe?

It's roughly the same shape, but far more delicious and enticing.
