Yesterday my mom's house caught fire. She's unemployed at the moment so she can't afford the costs of the reconstruction. My sisters and cousins are planning to hold a fundraiser for her but we need ideas for an effective fundraiser. Any suggestions?

You could contact a local bar/diner and see if they would be willing to do a night where a portion of the sales go toward the home's repair. I hope you can find something!

insurance? If she's an older lady she might be able to get state assisted living it seems like there should be some fema-ish organization to atleast set her up with a temporary housing unit until she can get back on her feet.

No issurance unfortunately. She had to stop paying it after she lost her job a few months ago. If anyone wants to donate through paypal the email address is [email protected].  Thanks.
